HOW TO CREATE A PROFILE AND APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS.
ALL CONTACT WITH STUDENTS WILL BE VIA EMAIL - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DESIGNATED EMAIL ADDRESS AND THAT YOU CHECK IT OFTEN FOR INFORMATION - DO NOT USE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL EMAIL AS THAT DOESN'T WORK ONCE YOU GRADUATE
If you are a student at Monomoy Regional High School or a resident of Chatham or Harwich, you are eligible for these scholarships.
(Please note that changes are constantly being made to scholarships - additions, changes, etc.)
SENIORS AND PARENTS
Monomoy Dollars for Scholars has all types of scholarships for any kind of education - for technical and trade schools, universities, community college, even for students who aren't really sure about what they want to do. And not all scholarships require financial need. Monomoy Dollars for Scholars likes to believe that, because of the cost of college, all students are needs based and deserving of help.
In addition to our scholarships, Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars offers a host of information about state and national scholarships that are also available to you on their website which you access through your Profile.
Start your Profile now. The more time you spend with it, the better you will show yourself -- and that's exactly what the Awards Committee wants to see -- YOU.
To register online and begin, simply click the Students and Parents link in the main menu at the top of the page. This will take you to the log in page where you can register and get your profile started. Parents also can register and learn about their part in the scholarship process.
Everyone should read the GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS also located on the "Students & Parents" page. It contains information that will be useful throughout your college career. Additional information on the "Students & Parents" page include several "how to use Chapternet " links that will take you through the process. If you run in to a problem with the program or have a question about how it works, simply click on the "Support" button.
CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENTS AND PARENTS
Those of you who are in your 1st (entering college after a break/deferment), 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of college and plan on applying for continuing education scholarships should begin now to create or update your Profile. If you have questions about how to do this, please go to the "Students & Parents" page where you can log in and read the document HOW TO CREATE A PROFILE AND APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. If you have a problem with updating, your first step is to click on the "Support" button that appears on any page you are working on.
There are currently 19 available scholarships for Continuing Education. You will be able to identify and submit scholarships as of September 1. The deadline for submissions is October 15. You will be notified about your award around December 1 and will need to accept scholarships by December 15. Awards are applied to the spring semester invoice.
Your scholarship money will be accessible shortly thereafter and you will know what to do to get it sent to your college if you have read the GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONTINUING EDUCATION, also located on the "Students & Parents" page. Both Parents and Students should read this and remember where the information is kept. The most useful part of this document tells students HOW TO ACCESS YOUR SCHOLARSHIP MONEY. It also contains information that will be useful now and throughout your college career.
NOTE:
We have added questions in lieu of updating the work, activities, unusual circumstances and need sections.
These are required questions.
You will find them by going to My Scholarships - It will show Chapter Name as Monomoy Dollars for Scholars - click on the Questions tab and they will come up. Be sure to reverify for scholarships every time you go in because we are trying to make things accessible.
We are also adding questions to some scholarships requiring a Chatham residence or Harwich residence requirement or graduation from Monomoy Regional High School that say:
Do you reside in Chatham?
Do you reside in Harwich?
Did you graduate from Monomoy Regional High School?
Answering these questions will ensure you match to as many scholarships as possible. Please read all the directions and recheck your scholarships.
If you have any questions that do not involve technology, you can email the Chapternet Super Administrator at monomoydfs@gmail.com.
